This 90-Hour Cybersecurity Essentials Course will help you gain hands-on expertise in cybersecurity tools, policies, and mitigation strategies to safeguard your workplace from evolving threats.

This course is designed to introduce network administrators and other IT professionals, working in small to large companies, to the monitoring of computer networks for cyber-threats and the application of mitigation measures and tools. This college certificate aims to enable students in fundamental cybersecurity approaches, mitigation tools, as well as legal policies and standards to be applied within their workplaces. This course is appropriate for IT professionals and managers who are comfortable with networking technologies and looking to develop their ability in Cybersecurity, or implement standard-driven policies, processes and tools within their organizations.

Graduates of the College Certificate in Cybersecurity will be able to:

  • Implement Cybersecurity legal and operational standards within their organizations;
  • Select and install Cybersecurity IT tools, software relevant to the organization’s needs;
  • Monitor a simple computer network (10-50 computers), and related online services, for Cyber-threats.
  • Detect and analyze incoming cyber-threats;
  • Apply simple mitigation measures to incoming threats.

Cybersecurity specialists with advanced computer science degrees, or equivalent, can expect to earn over 100,000$ annually.
