The purpose of this course is to enable you to develop practical Python programs that can automate network-related tasks. By mastering the concepts and techniques covered, you will gain the skills needed to streamline network operations, increase efficiency, and reduce manual effort. Whether you work in network engineering, IT operations, or any field where network automation is valuable, this course will empower you to write robust Python programs that enhance your ability to manage and automate network tasks.

Learners in this course are those with basic knowledge of programming seeking to deepen their understanding of Python. The course will cover a range of topics from basic Python concepts to working with files, databases, and useful Python libraries like pandas. The course will be further enhanced for learners via the introduction of ChatGPT, a tool that can provide real-time answers to Python-related queries, offer code snippets and explanations, and assist in debugging code, facilitating a more interactive and responsive learning experience.

Course pre-requisite:
Learners are expected to have a good understanding of Python Level 1 prior to registering for this course.

You are eligible to take these courses if you live and work in the province of Québec, and you are:

  • Currently working in the private sector;
  • self-employed;
  • a seasonal worker on a temporary layoff;
  • looking to upgrade your skills to maintain your job.

You are not eligible to take these courses if you are:

  • employed in the public or para-public sector;
  • a student;
  • unemployed and/or receiving unemployment insurance or welfare;
  • receiving CSST (worker’s compensation) or from the SAAQ.
  • reorienting your career or are interested in taking a personal interest course.

Maximum of two (2) simultaneous courses per person.
Maximum of three (3) employees per place of employment.
