Students in the Continuing Education Specialist in Transportation and Logistics program, Amelyne Tabaries and Marta Pinho, took part in the 73rd Annual Congress of the Association du camionnage du Québec (ACQ), accompanied by their teacher and Champlain College Saint-Lambert representative, Michael Loughman. The event took place in La Malbaie on May 2, 2026.
Amelyne was honoured with the $500 François-Rouette-Cain Lamarre Award from the Fondation pour la formation en transport routier. Marta received the $1,000 Desjardins Caisse des Transports Award from the same foundation.
Both students were selected by their teachers based on criteria such as class participation, academic performance, and enthusiasm for learning.
“My experience at the ACQ Congress was truly amazing. Everyone was so welcoming, friendly, and kind, which made the event even more enjoyable from start to finish,” said Amelyne. “We participated in many different activities and had the opportunity to meet a lot of wonderful people working in the industry. Since I am currently working at Groupe Morneau, it was especially nice to meet colleagues from other Morneau terminals. Overall, it was a fun and valuable experience that allowed me to connect with others and learn more about the industry.”
Marta also shared her thoughts: “I was very happy and honored to participate in this event and grateful for the warm reception I received from transportation industry professionals.”
The Continuing Education Department, along with the entire Champlain College Saint-Lambert community, warmly congratulates Amelyne and Marta on their achievements.
