On April 14, Champlain partnered with IT solutions company Kezber to host a training day on the topics of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, business process automation and the practical use of Microsoft Copilot.

The full-day event took place at the Kezber offices in Brossard and included presentations from cybersecurity experts and industry insiders.

Champlain Saint-Lambert Continuing Education Director Mark Wallace helped emcee the event and Pedagogical Counsellor Samantha Morley offered a presentation to highlight the cybersecurity and information technology programs offered through Champlain to adult learners.

She also highlighted the courses offered by the College’s Business and Industry Services, such as “Generative AI for IT Professionals”, “CyberOps”, “DevOps”, and “ChatGPT Networking Essentials”.

The objective of this training day was to strengthen understandings of cybersecurity in the era of AI, explore how artificial intelligence and automation can support business processes, and introduce Microsoft Copilot as a productivity and collaboration tool.

Through a combination of strategic insights, practical examples and hands-on perspectives, participants explored how AI, automation and Copilot are transforming workflows, decision-making and professional practices.

The day also aimed to provide clarity on how these technologies fit together, how to identify meaningful opportunities for their use, and how to continue developing skills through structured learning paths.

Participants had the opportunity to network, learn about how artificial intelligence can support business processes, and understand more about how AI can be used to support cybersecurity initiatives.

Speakers included Eric Murray, Director of Innovation at Kezber, and AI strategist Samuel Boulanger. Murray’s presentation was on the topic of “AI and Business Process Automation: How to Identify Opportunities” and Boulanger spoke on the topic of “The AI-Ready Professional: LLMs, Agents, and the Future of Work”.
