On April 25th, the Continuing Education Department of Champlain College Saint-Lambert organized an information session and a tour for employment and career guidance counselors working with adult clients from the South Shore.
The presentation of the Continuing Education services by the managers and pedagogical counsellors of the department was followed by a tour of the College.
Discussions about the needs of the adult clients of our visitors and possible collaborations continued over a meal.
In total, we welcomed 16 people from seven organizations: New Frontiers School Board, Riverside School Board, Maison internationale de la Rive-Sud (MIRS), Espace Pivot, Place à l’emploi, Carrefour Jeunesse Emploi de Saint-Hubert, and SINO Québec.
“I am so happy to come back to my Alma Mater as part of my work duties,” said Tanya Angelo, a psychosocial worker at Espace Pivot.
Tanya was certified in 2021 with an Attestation of Collegial Studies (AEC) in Special Care Counselling from Champlain Saint-Lambert. She can therefore confirm the quality of the training we offer and the personalized support of our services.
Given the success of this event, the Director of Continuing Education, Mark Wallace, stated, “We will likely put on this activity on an annual basis, expanding it to other organizations.”
