Do your research and make sure the teaching discipline you apply to suits you and matches your education and work experience background, as well as the requirements stipulated in the posting.

You need to apply directly to a specific posting for a particular discipline, as opposed to doing a general application for all disciplines. This means that if you wish to apply to more than one discipline, each job posting you apply to needs its own application.
3. Match your cover letter to the job posting
Ensure your cover letter directly addresses what the job posting is looking for. Every job posting lists the preferred and required qualifications.
4. Provide all documents
Read each posting carefully to ensure your application materials match what the job posting outlines in the desired and required qualifications sections. For most postings, the required documents are a cover letter and résumé.
All postings presume that you are legally able to work in Québec (i.e., you are a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant and possess a Canadian social insurance number).
5. Respect deadlines
Keep track of the closing date for each job posting, and make sure to submit your application on time.
6. Timeline
On average it takes about two to three weeks to screen and hire the successful applicant after a job posting closes. Only applicants selected for interview will be contacted.
If you have any questions, direct them to the Human Resources department.
7. Prepare questions for the hiring committee
Before an interview, prepare questions you may want to ask the hiring committee. For example, at the end of your interview you may want to ask the committee about the students in its courses, the size of the department, the expectations the department has of new faculty, the onboarding practices of the department, or resources available to support you as a faculty member.
