The new Peer Mentorship Program matches first year students with second or third-year student mentors who can help guide and support them through their first semesters at Champlain  Saint-Lambert.

Whether bonding over lunch about their courses or providing assurance that they won’t always be feeling lost.

The goal of the Mentorship Program is to reduce isolation and promote connections here at Champlain College.

Student mentors are being trained on active listening, communication and mental health skills.

If you are a first-year student who could benefit from a one-on-one student mentor, join the Peer Mentorship Program this semester.

Here are just a few reasons to become a mentee:

  • Meet new people and make meaningful connections
  • Have a supportive mentor to guide you and meet up with you once a week
  • Be part of a community through social activities and outings throughout the year

What to expect:

  • Be matched with a second or third year student mentor
  • A mentor is someone you can talk to on a regular basis, ask questions about the college and student life and who will help guide you
  • Meet up with your mentor once a week for a minimum of 30 minutes (talk a walk, chat over lunch or grab a coffee together etc.)
