At a ceremony on April 15, recipients of the local Forces Avenir awards were celebrated for their achievements, impacts and innovations.

Forces Avenir is a province-wide recognition event that takes place for high school, Cegep and university students each fall. Local awards are given at each institution and then a panel of judges selects finalists to advance to the provincial level.

During the local celebration, the college was pleased to host parents, students, faculty and staff who were involved with the projects nominated in each of the ten categories.

In the individual award categories, students Anne Michèle Laperrière and Marie-Ève Paul-Parenteau took home the Forces Avenir medals for Engaged Personality and Persevering Personality, respectively.

Both Anne-Michèle and Marie-Ève have been very involved in the college’s vibrant student life during their time at Champlain as members of the First-Year Leadership Integration Program (FLIP), iLEAD, BLAM and more.

In the category of Social economy, entrepreneurship, and business, third year Health Science student Jack Robinson took home the award for his project, the “Real Estate Mastery Network”. The training is intended to help agents gain skills, generate more leads, and close more deals through weekly live training sessions held online.
