Two Champlain Saint-Lambert students received the Lieutenant Governor’s Youth Medal on Saturday April 25 during a ceremony in Longueuil.
Graduating students Marie-Ève Paul-Parenteau and Vincenzo Paolella were recognized for their volunteer involvement with activities on campus including the Black Lives Allyship Mission (BLAM) group and Adam’s P.A.C.E. program.
They are also both members of the Champlain Student Association (CSA) executive and have volunteered their time with the iLEAD program and FLIP.
Recipients of the Lieutenant Governor’s Youth Medal have demonstrated an inspiring attitude and a positive influence on their community and were nominated by Student Services to receive this prestigious award.
“Marie-Ève and Vinny embody the very best of Champlain,” said Student Services Director Jonathan Collin. “Through their unwavering commitment, generosity of spirit, and genuine care for others, they have made a lasting impact on our community, and we will be forever grateful.”
“They are true ambassadors of student life and inspire all of us to give a little more, care a little deeper, and show up with purpose every day. This honour is well deserved and well earned and we are so proud of them both,” he added.
Congratulations Marie-Ève and Vincenzo!
