About the Program

Are you intrigued by the dynamics of conflict and cooperation around the world? Do you seek to understand the intricate play of economic, geographic, historical, and political factors driving current global challenges? Are you interested in learning about the forces shaping the world of tomorrow, and how they will affect societies, businesses, and governments across the globe?

The International Studies Profile of the Social Science program is designed to equip you for university studies with an international focus. The profile prioritizes building a solid foundation in the social sciences, particularly in the global economy, the geography of the world, 20th century history, and international politics.

If you are interested in a career in government, diplomacy, journalism, law, business, or human rights or other non-governmental organizations, then this is the profile for you. Join us as we embark on a journey to shape the future together.

Program Goal: 

To critically analyze current events and contemporary challenges with a focus on nation and state interactions.

Students Will Learn To:

  • Develop knowledge and an interest in international affairs and an in depth understanding of the impact that international forces and events have on humanity and the environment.
  • Develop the ability to communicate in and about an international context.
  • Develop the ability to observe, analyze and evaluate international life.
  • Develop the ability to understand international events and processes in an ethical context.
  • Develop the ability to work in a team and to appreciate other cultures and value systems.

Profile of Students:

The International Studies profile will prove useful to students planning a career in public service, law, journalism, or within sectors of the private industry that have international interests.
