Champlain Cavaliers Women’s Basketball Coach Georges Germanos has been named the RSEQ Coach of the Year for Women’s Basketball. The honour was announced at an evening to open the provincial basketball championships at the end of February.

This is Coach Germanos’ third time winning Coach of the Year over the past four years. Germanos, who’s been with the Cavaliers in a head coach position since 2003, has seen the team grow under his stewardship from their first year in D1 in 2007-08 when they started with a 3-17 record to where they are today, one of the top programs in Quebec and Canada. With a 13-1 season, and being ranked within the top 5 in Canada all season, it’s been a great year so far for Coach Germanos and his team.

The 2024-25 RSEQ Division 1 Basketball leagues showcased incredible talent over this past season, with our student-athletes leaving it all on the court. As the season comes to a close, we are proud to recognize the outstanding individuals who have excelled and earned a place among the league’s elite.
