Student and TVRS executive at graduation

During the graduation ceremony at Champlain College Saint-Lambert, two TVRS representatives, Mr. Bernard Côté, member of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Sylvain Casavant, Director General, were happy to offer three graduating students a bursary of $1,000 each to allow them to pursue their dreams and continue their studies at the university level.

The recipients were Marie-Claire Beauchesne from the Digital Arts and New Media program, Kaïla Warten from the Film and New Media program and Lyssia Meriane from the Language and Culture program.

Student award winner.

“It is with a desire to give back to the community, particularly to the educational sector which has supported TVRS for more than 25 years, that we decided to bolster the existing bursary programs at educational institutions like Champlain College,” said Adrien Legault, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TVRS.

TVRS plans to donate more than $30,000 over three years, which will be distributed among talented young students. As the largest independent regional television station in Quebec, it’s important for TVRS to give back concretely to the community it belongs to. TVRS is proud to support students and encourage them in the realization of their dreams.

“Champlain Saint-Lambert is so pleased to partner with TVRS to give these deserving students a boost as they pursue their higher education goals. TVRS has shown a real commitment to community engagement which benefits not just our students but the South Shore community as a whole,” said Dean Howie, head of Student Services at Champlain College Saint-Lambert.
